TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF

I am an avid photographer who enjoys capturing the light and the life of the world around us. I feel a connection with the environment and the amazing creatures we get to share this earth with. I hope to inspire and convey the happiness that this world and its inhabitants gives me through my photography. We need this planet more than it needs us and it’s time we start respecting it and cherishing its wonders so our children are afforded the same privilege.

What equipment did you use to take this photo?

I took this photo with a Canon 6D Mark ii and a Canon 16-35mm lens.

Why did you enter this competition?

I entered this competition as I felt it was truly for a good cause. A cause I can and would like to become more involved in advocating for conservation. Climate change is rapidly escalating and I feel we all need to be more conscious of our impact on the world and what we can do to conserve its beauty.

Why did you choose this photo?

I chose this image as I felt it tells a story and demonstrates how climate change has impacted conditions at Abraham Lake.

WHAT MESSAGE WOULD YOU LIKE TO GIVE WORLD LEADERS AHEAD OF THE COP26 CLIMATE CONFERENCE THIS YEAR?

The message I would like to give world leaders ahead of COP26 climate conference is a message of gratitude. Thank you for your efforts in raising awareness. I would also suggest/recommend watching a Netflix original documentary titled “Seaspiracy”. I recently watched it with my wife and it was truly eye-opening for us and really instilled a desire to advocate for the earth and the creatures we share this world with.
